THE SANCTUARY
The Sanctuary - CRENSHAW
OVERVIEW
Following the discovery of a guardian sapling within an abandoned and ruined monastery on the edges of Crenshaw and the sudden growth of purified plant life around it, there's a growing bustle of activity around it. Those suffering corruption or despair come to sit under its boughs and let its tranquil aura help set them at ease. People started chattering on the street, marveling at it and the unprecedented greenery it's brought with it, and begin setting up small shops and carts out front to peddle wares to those who are basically pilgrims. Some are useful... some aren't. Incense is common.
Exploration of the building has revealed it to be a monastery that was once dedicated to Moon Presence after contact was made with the ghost of the last archivist, who is friendly and absent-minded old man who enjoys being read to as he can no longer turn the pages of books. Wards allowing him travel have been set up in several locations to allow him to interact with individuals outside his old study off the cloisters.
As of early-mid July, Sanctuary's lunar generator is back online, powering the entire area that's cleared with lunar light as well as heating and cooling.
MEMBER ROLES:
Corruption relief: People who can help provide emotional/spiritual support for the corrupted.
Beast purification: People with purification/exorcism abilities or soul sight/the ability to enter souls/spirit worlds to help humanely purify Beasts without killing them. Some beasts can never have their Beasthood reversed, but their suffering souls could still be freed from corruption and laid to rest.
Healers/Doctors: Medically proficient people/healers or those to help nurse any injured or those recovering from Beasthood.
Fighter/Patrol: Allied non-lethal Hunters or other people who patrol for beasts to help locate and contain beasts to be purified. As of early June there are two allied native Hunter factions that will work/partner with members. They are Nell and Vaughn and they are... quirky. Works/partners with purification experts.
Wardens/Protection: Combat capable people to provide watch and protection to Sanctuary itself. Can function like a bouncer. Blood magic capable people, especially darkbloods and palebloods, who can help with creating protective runes or eventual containment/pocket dimension/etc. rooms also highly needed.
Research: Anyone interested in researching new humane ways to treat beasthood/corruption, equipment for the beast patrols, or helping provide data.
Support and Groundskeeping: Help maintaining the grounds, gardening/Guardian Sapling care, basic maintenance.
Administrative: Organized or eloquent individuals good at making things happen
Donated items and services: People that help to help provide supplies, blood, food and/or cooking for all those who come there for sanctuary. Purification supplies like moon drops, orbs of hope, and any other event items are highly sought after as well. Blood gems are in demand for research and equipment-making. Donating items to be bartered for necessary items or to offer as payment as well is also helpful!

WHERE
Crenshaw, near the Watch Tower. Lamp location onsite.
THINGS OF NOTE
➢ relations with native Hunters and the Wayward Watcher are strained, except for two secretive allied Hunter factions that work actively with members
➢ as of June, coordinated efforts to patrol Trench on their own and save Beasts and people both have begun
➢ the primary focus is on renovating the space, protecting/cultivating the guardian sapling, and providing for/protecting those that show up for help with their corruption
➢ community/NPC involvement is heavy, especially at the beginning as more Sleepers are filtering in and taking roles

The heart of the Sanctuary, one of the special guardian saplings planted by Amaterasu. The old monastery revolves around a large courtyard that is surrounded by cloisters, at the center of which is a large sakura tree in full bloom. The whole of the courtyard is covered in greenery and flowers unlike can normally be found elsewhere in the Trench aside from where there are similar such trees, and a pool of forever-pure water looks like it's just waiting for some fish. It's in full bloom this month, and some residents have started trying to make a tea from its petals. It's said to be very relaxing (and delicious, delicately floral and positively... heavenly. But don't drink in excess.)
It's the most common place for both residents of the Trench and Sleepers to be, as its tranquil aura helps soothe one's mind and ease corruption. Napping at its roots or in its branches seems quite popular, and birds and small animals can often be found there, drawn by it. Because of this, one Sleeper has started leading meditation sessions for corruption relief there.
Small and non-violent Beasts also seem drawn in, similar to how they are with the salt lake under the full moon. Twisted little fairies that are not so consumed that they don't still desire to be saved, they can be found resting there before slowly beginning to slip back to their formal selves; perhaps a dove, or maybe mice. Perhaps one could find similar such Beasts, either non-violent or easily restrained, and help bring them there in the hopes that they might also be able to be healed...?

INFIRMARY WING
Many of those who have come seeking some sort of tranquility are taxed, injured, or suffering in a way where they may need to rest within the confines of safety. One of the first spaces that has been cleared and made useable is a makeshift infirmary. There are simple beds and cots, a series of rooms for some privacy for those who simply need a clean and restorative place to stay temporarily versus those who need more medical attention. It's no Lumenarium, no place with any advanced medical treatment, but there are basic supplies for treating wounds and illness that have been donated. No one will be turned away, though violent individuals would be... dealt with in order to not be violent or cause harm, and anyone is welcome a bed for a night if it's needed. Some healers filter in and out, and most medicine practiced here is not the blood ministry common in Lumenwood but a mix of Sleeper powers from their worlds and basic aid.
A stockpile has been started for various items known to help reduce corruption or Beasthood as well, notably orbs of hope and a few precious moon drops, though most of those have been reserved for study. Anyone helping to assist, or who gets care, would be asked to just help return the favor for the ill and corrupted by donating what they can when they can.

Where there are people and the needy there is a need for food! A ramshackle affair currently, lunch and dinner is usually provided in the dining hall for anyone who is helping with the renovations or assisting in some manner, as well as anyone who has come there for aid. All the food is brought in via either donated supplies from local merchants or farms, some Sleepers, and pot luck style.
The kitchens are easy to access though, currently dominated by a stout Crenshaw woman named Abigail who is very thorough in how she wrangles any lollygaggers into chopping mushrooms or gutting fish. No one is safe from her. No one. Heaven help you if you make a mess of her kitchen. She is there almost every day, will lecture a grown man like he's her child, but has a soft spot for young people and will sneak them extra helpings even if she'd deny it. Heaven help you also if you have cooking skills or show any interest in it, because you will find her immediately recruiting you.
Her daughter often comes by bearing a huge bushel of sometimes-questionable "fish", a middle-aged fisherwoman named Joanna.

Wide open at the moment, this is used primarily as an open community space at the moment. It leads directly through to the cloisters that surround the courtyard, and so all foot traffic passes through here. At the moment, it's used as a staging grounds for all donated materials that are being used for the reconstruction effort.
Intricate carvings, statues, and faded paintings are throughout the nave and altar area -- but all have been damaged or worn in such a way where it's hard to make out what sort of shrine this was originally, or to whom. Some people will chime in and say it was to Moon Presence herself. Others to Argonaut, or perhaps The Reckoning. Maybe something else entirely, some bygone remnant of another civilization. Who's to say, there doesn't seem to be any consensus or proof yet. Origins have been confirmed as a monastery to Moon Presence, and Palamades has begun collecting and preserving the art and history within the Hidden Archives.
Lunar flowers have begun to grow again around the monastery grounds, so perhaps there's something to be said for it.

1) Push back corruption/beasthood. He canonically has empathic abilities that might be trained into a sort of gentle exorcism and help calm beasts.
2) Healing. Through game play he's learned the very basics of Force healing, but has basically no medical training to make good use of it. So I've been going with: he can dump Force energy into someone to speed up very minor things. Or he can dump a *lot* in (probably taxing himself) to briefly stabilize someone majorly injured, but he does not have the raw power to brute force it, or technical skill yet to direct that energy well.
3)Gardening/Food Another skill he has picked up is using the Force to strengthen/fertilize plants. He's put some time into actually learning some gardening and agriculture. He'll be starting helping on the Trenchwood Farm, this month, and would be happy to pitch in here, and probably would donate some of whatever he might get from working on the farm.
In short, he'll be very interested in the mission of the sanctuary and glad to help where he can, but wouldn't be around full time. He's got the farming shifts, his teaching of meditation at the orphanage/to anyone who wants to join in, and working his own training as a Jedi. He's gonna be a busy guy.
Maybe where his priority will be change in the future. Right now, he's trying stuff out and seeing what sticks.

So!! After Allen and Palamedes meet at last and Pal immediately goes all in for Allen Support, Pal can be counted on for:
1. Donating some hope orbs, because he has several jars' worth,
2. Being somewhat medically proficient, with a soupçon of supplementing with necromancy tricks that are not technically Healing Magic, but close. He's been getting into blood ministering and he knows his way around, like, doing stitches and etc,
3. Managing, maybe... He's used to being in charge of large scale organization back home, so he could do this As A Favor For Allen because managing is not his Passion,
4. Dunno about this one because other people likely have way better soul-y helpful skills but Pal can summon a ghost in a pinch, which would have talking to living souls applications, maybe...? I'm inventing new necromancy, live.
He has 500 other projects so he can't come around full time, but!! He'll Find Time for a good cause. This overlaps with his existing project with Viktor, so it's very tidy. 👌

- donating stuff, orbs definitely, if he hears something is needed he might try to make it/find it at the market, etc
- being a busybody about any sort of general repair needed because fixing things is his personality
- offering a hand organizing because allen you are a teen and deserve breaks my bud
-obv the Research as always
he's definitely going to be fascinated with the guardian tree and spend a lot of time studying it too. also teasing allen about the dragon relentlessly, as one does

oh haha I should also say eventually sansa will be able to warg non-human beasts to stay still long enough for people to purify them? this will give her more corruption the longer she's in there but she can just give it to her blood hound to eat.....

He'll keep doing what he's been doing. The only difference is instead of dragging the beasts he captures to the Lumenarium he'll start bringing them to the Sanctuary. He can team up with other people to capture larger beasts or pass along information on where a beast passed through.
2) Housing/Renovations
He'll help with renovations whenever he has time. He's still a Hunter and still lives in Prufrock, so he won't be around that much. If anyone wants to put him to work just grab him, he'll work for food! With that being said, he'll mainly be a volunteer.
3) Donations
He'll start dropping off items he finds on patrols. This includes tools, lumber, medicinal plants, and edible plants. The only problem is he doesn't know anything about plants. Someone, please teach him! Also, at one point, I'd like him to poison the whole lot, accidentally of course.
4) Sakura Tree
He'll be a frequent guest here, so feel free to notice him coming and going. Most of the time, he'll be trying to save one of the smaller beasts by exposing them to its purifying energy. Sometimes, you'll be able to spot him just standing in front of the tree. Don't think he's contemplating life's mysterious questions, he's simply napping standing up with drool on his mouth. Feel free to run into him!

1. Donations - Klee goes out everyday on Adventures. She picks up things like mushroom, fruits etc. So she can help I that respect. Plus the Knights of Favonius taught to always help people, but don't use bombs to help them. Also once she learns where certs items are she'll always remember them. So she can help people find where things grow and help other people mark down whereabouts.
2. Supplies - Mainly bombs! She's been working on some bombs that are easy to use. She has non lethal stuff such and stun and flash bombs. Klee makes a lot of them. So she'd be happy to donate her Jumpty Dumpty bombs. If people are interested, she can teach them how to make them as well.
Klee has a lot of free time since she's isn't being put in time put. Also, she's a Knight so she likes helping people. Klee can probably do some protection since Klee can fight things with her magic and bombs. She's not scared of most monsters.

I think this good robo's well suited to help out in several capacities:
K thoroughly enjoys learning and would be willing to be trained to help out elsewhere, too. It's how he's acquired a wide range of skills — they represent several years of learning from/with other characters. And his Omen is shy, but could perhaps meet that other dragon one day...

This sounds super cool and very much up Wanda's alley since she… can do a lot of stuff. I can offer Wanda up for anything that she suits since she's OP af but can also mess things up since that's her M.O.™ (I noted on your OOC comm post that you plan on having Allen post to the network, so I'll definitely volunteer her there!)
I can offer her to…
• Help with exorcisms since she's a telepath and telekinetic and… can probably… do that given the extremeness of her powers. As the Scarlet Witch, I'm pretty sure she can probably do some really crazy shit with this considering she turned an entire town into a sitcom and turned people into characters to suit her storylines.
• Wear a "Save the Beasts" patrol t-shirt since her abilities are strong enough to hold back a Titan wearing an OP space bracelet, she can most likely help contain beasts in a non-lethal way. (I wouldn't even hesitate to say she can probably teleport them places??) She can also help teleport people to places if anyone ever needs an excuse for how they travel from Point A to Point Z in a matter of seconds.
• Wardens/Protection since she does runes for her own house and is kind of slowly offering to help ward people's homes with magic. She built her own house and makes renovations on the one she has here. She can also help grow things since she's capable of reality warping and hexing.
• And maybe even research??? She has her canonical dark magic book the Darkhold and that's kind of a blank slate of "???" and monsters in canon so I can make some things up to help with anything or give them some opportunities.
Wanda's a Darkblood and an Architect (or tries to be) and she uses her powers quite frequently at events because /waves hands she tries to help people. Given that she's OP af, I'm happy to fit in whichever way she can. She doesn't need a place to stay and would want to be a volunteer since she's working on her confidence and trying to hone her witchcraft (and maybe she is writing season 2 of WandaVision).

He's going to end up being a Hunter in all likelihood so he can:
1) Be on 'save the Beasts' patrol as an allied Hunter
2) Provide emergency healing (he doesn't have any healing job stones with him and he's ass at it in general, but he's got Vercure and Clemency to keep people together on the battlefield)
3) Provide research data and will happily dive in to learning how it all works - he can be a research assistant
He can also basically be shoved into whatever odd jobs need doing because even the Warrior of Light is not immune to the need for sidequests or trivial errands.

He can probably also be counted on as a warden of Sanctuary itself. He's very drawn to the guardian sapling and will likely be found near it from time to time.
He also spends a good amount of time in the Archives (does this man ever sleep?) and while his research isn't specifically focused on corruption and beasthood, he will happily share any pertinent information he manages to stumble across.
Mmmaybe he'll eventually take housing here too (he's currently just a weird hobo) but that depends if someone can get him to... stop being a weird hobo. Sigh.

Re: Employees/Volunteers
Pyrrha (going to probably go by Duty as a hunter) is just coming into the game. She prefers, when possible, to opt for the option to save people, including beasties. She's also comfortable with making the call that's not an option.
I'm interested in developing a productive but sometimes strained relationship with the Sanctuary and other hunters with these values.
Pyrrha values teamwork. She's good at having people's backs and working with people with magic and/or physical focuses. She's experienced with other kinds of beasts, so the physical forms won't throw her. She's a Coldblood who will take advantage of those attributes (including bullets of her blood, for initiating "chill down" from a distance).
She brings 10,000 years of fighting, being a spy, running intelligence, etc. She's a bit harder to kill/faster to heal, but that's not the focus.
Depending how things develop, she may expand, but that seems like the starting point.

- Basic first aid and medical skills to assist in helping the wounded.
- Possible rescues for any allies in danger with his shadow travel.
- Soul identification on Beasts, capable of telling apart animals from the others.
- Definitely patrols, he has experience in this and does know how to fight.
- Will help clean inside, do repairs, exploration!!
- He might come by at night to hang out when he can't sleep, but won't really need a room.

So I think Sasuke would fit for being both someone who could help both as a non-lethal Hunter since he's already attempting to do that (he kills beasts if there's absolutely no alternative for safety reasons, so having an... alternative... would be amazing to him. Like I said before, he overidentifies with them, it's bad, guys omg) and then he'd also be willing to use his Darkblood powers to help to build protections and/or offer his ninja skills to do actual patrols around the place when he has.......... time............... Bro is getting too many jobs, but he's got a problem with sitting still. And sleeping. It's fine.
ANYWAY. I'd be down for him doing either, but the Hunter part fits for sure, and he can use his sharingan to control beasts to give time for people to be able to purify them if that helps at all???

With Luna coming in to help with solving puzzles, she's going to volunteer and offer her services in a couple of ways.
Wardens/Protection: Luna can use her magic to add additional protective enchantments, which is more done on a room-by-room basis. This would spells such as: protego totalum, a shielding charm to repel intruders and salvio hexia, to protect against hexes. She'll also happily offer up her Paleblood to add to blood magic protections.
Research: Luna is currently working on a book which contains Beasthood index of Sleepers, which would catalogue them in case of Sleepers falling to Beasthood other times. This will include cures of Beasthood, and she'll be more than happy to share her research, along with gaining research with Beasts that are caught and brought to the Sanctuary to be purified.
In addition, as a Deerington veteran, Luna is very knowledgeable on the lore of Moon Presence. She's been involved heavily in the details of her life as Cynthia Sodder and her family, and is always happy to offer information on her. (And really just spread the Good Word).
And of course, she is always here for more puzzles.
Re: Employees/Volunteers
Wardens/Protection As a capable magic user she'll offer her aid in coming up with magical wards, seals, and other protections for the Sanctuary and the people in it. She figures it's the least she can offer for the privilege of a place to stay.
Support/Groundskeeping is another area she'll help out, being very fond of flowers especially.

She can be used as manual labor as well, hauling donations and whatnot.
Eventually, she will come to (possibly?) do tattoos from there, too, after she learns the craft of anti corruption inkstuff.
