RULES
•RULES•
(1) Age Requirement: You must be 18+ to join the game.

(2) Infomodding: Your character is only permitted to know information they would realistically be able to obtain. If you (the player) learn information that your character does not have access to, do not allow it to influence in-character choices or statements.

If your character is capable of mind-reading or other information-gathering abilities, make sure to ask player permission before assuming your character has used this power to learn about theirs.

(3) Godmodding: No character can destroy the entire setting or rule over it (though they may certainly try). Players cannot take charge of significant events unless permitted to do so by mods.

Certain characters may gain higher status in-game through various events and game involvement, but a character's position of authority does not give the player OOC advantages. You must still adhere to game rules and respectfully communicate with other players.

(4) Squatting: If you consistently fail Activity Check, or meet activity requirements only in scattered patterns, we may determine that you are 'squatting' in the game. We will judge this on a case-by-case basis. You may then be asked to meet more specific activity expectations to remain in the game.

If you are removed from the game because of failed activity requirements, you may only reapply with the same character only three times. After your third AC-related drop, you will not be permitted to apply back with the same character.

(5) OOC And IC Lines: Understand that players are not their characters and their characters are not their players. Understand that this game has dark themes that challenge character morals and encourages potentially dark behavior. Dark subject matter is likely to come up. If you have reason to suspect players are behaving passive-aggressively through character choices please let a mod know about the situation.

(6) Hostile Attitude: We expect respectful behavior from all players whether in the game itself or on Discord/Plurk. This extends to player-to-player and player-to-mod exchanges. We will handle any instances of hostile attitude on a case-by-case basis. We do not operate any "strike/warning" system. We will give warnings for poor behavior or eject someone from the game if we feel they cannot improve.

Hostility can include harassment, bullying, excessive gossiping, and other toxic behavior.

If we receive evidence that you identify with hate groups or engage in hate speech against others based on race, religion, sexuality, gender, etc., you will automatically be banned from the game.

(7) No Rape: We do not allow actual non-consensual sexual experiences to occur in the game. Discussion/memories of the subject is allowed.

•EXPECTED DECORUM•

(1) Content Warnings: The only CWs we require players to have on their posts are for violence/trauma/abuse/alcohol/drugs and sex. Beyond those subjects we expect our players to take responsibility for what CWs they may need.

If a player makes a request for certain CWs to be applied to specific scenes make sure you do so.

(2) Respectful Communication: Please make sure to keep up with consistent communication with other players in the game. Let people know if you are uncomfortable or if you do not understand something. We expect our players to try and problem-solve issues as they come up prior to mod involvement. If you feel a player is not taking your complaints seriously or respecting your requests, please contact a mod.

Respect other players and their established boundaries.

•PLAYER COMPLAINTS•

We will judge every complaint on a case-by-case basis to determine the appropriate consequences. If you need to file a complaint about a player, please make sure you have the proof ready to verify the claim. Please file any complaints (here).

We pay attention to pattern behavior from players in-game. This will also play a role in determining what we do. We may also ban a player preemptively if we have reason to believe that they have a history of behavior that goes against our rules and expected decorum.
