PATRON PTHUMERIANS
There are more Pthumerians than can truly be accounted for - but these are known as the Patron Pthumerians. These are the most consistent and regular Pthumerians in the game and also the most influential in terms of setting and game events. Each Patron Pthumerian has a set of attributes they are known for. They did not necessarily "create" these qualities, but they do represent and live by them.

Each Patron Pthumerian is empowered by a specific month and feels naturally inclined to "bless" those with Blessed Days within that month. Blessings will be outlined each month in our Newsletters. Blessings might be anything: items, information, temporary powers, etc.

Blessed Days is a specific day a Patron Pthumerian has decided to bless your character. Most Blessed Days hold some significance to a character, such as a birthday, a wedding date, the day they ended the world, etc. However, you can also just pick any day if you want a specific Patron Pthumerian for your character. Every Sleeper has only ONE Blessed Day a year. Once you have picked a Blessed Day, you cannot change that.

While there is a likeness of Patron Pthumerians to Zodiac Signs, your character's personality/themes do not need to strictly correlate with their Patron Pthumerian. Some characters might not relate at all to their Patron Pthumerian and may forge a deeper connection to another Patron Pthumerian. This will be entirely up to players and their IC interpretation of the setting/their characters.

Your character is not restricted to interactions with their Patron Pthumerian alone. Patron Pthumerians will be regular NPCs in the game and there will be plenty of chances for characters to get to know all of them positively and negatively.
MADAM GENEROSITY
MONTH: January
MOON: Egg Moon
PRONOUNS: She/Her
ASSOCIATED BLOOD TYPES: Paleblood, Coldblood
ASSOCIATED JOBS: Night Walkers
ASSOCIATED ATTRIBUTES: Luxury, compassion, kindness, beauty, selflessness, charity.

Madam Generosity is considered to be the kindest Pthumerian known to the Waking World and is thus nicknamed the Patron Pthumerian of Kindness. She is extremely compassionate towards all other living beings and will rarely choose violence - though when she is violent, she makes quick immediate work of those who stand in her way. She is still a Pthumerian after all and one should not be fooled into thinking she's harmless just because of her calm disposition.

Madam Generosity rarely abandons her white snake-form. She typically remains large in this form, the size of a person, but has been known to shrink or grow depending on the situation. It is said her humanoid form is incredibly beautiful but no one has actually seen it. Others say her humanoid is surprisingly plain and modest. Her white scales are usually accented with golden designs that seem to change at her will.

She's known for enjoying the beautiful things in life and most people who live for pleasure worship Madam Generosity for her love of luxury. Madam Generosity believes everyone should live a comfortable, easy life. She believes in second chances and forgiveness and has been known to sit patiently through people's breakdowns.

Despite her kindness, Madam Generosity is not naive. She understands how people work and she knows how many wish to take advantage of others. If she ever feels someone is being taken advantage of or discovers sadism, she will react with violent hostility. She is clever and disguises it well with an airy behavior that many regard as "shallow" or materialistic.

People believe if you leave offerings of jewelry on a shed snakeskin, Madam Generosity may bless you with a lucky day.

Doorway
MONTH: February
MOON: Egg Moon
PRONOUNS: They/Them
ASSOCIATED BLOOD TYPES: Warmblood, Paleblood
ASSOCIATED JOBS: Night Walkers
ASSOCIATED ATTRIBUTES: Relationships, promises, loyalty, connections both physical and emotional, passageways, honesty, reliance, dependency.

The Doorway is the Patron Pthumerian of Relationships and is known for their immobile disposition. Often presenting as a statuesque figure of a woman, the Doorway never changes their expression and communicates strictly through telepathic words or images. They rarely appear physically and when they do, many have mistaken them for a haunting shadow. Their hands continually bleed around their weapon and the roses upon their shoulder rapidly blossom and die only to blossom again.

They represent the solidity of relationships and the integrity of keeping a promise. The story of the Doorway's stillness is that they promised a Lover that they would not move until their Lover has returned to them. The Doorway has been immobile ever since and does not seem likely to "move" any time soon.

It is said that the Doorway only kills when someone has broken a significant promise. This has caused a bit of paranoia among some as they believe if they lie to a loved one, the Doorway will appear to avenge them. This is why many consider the Doorway to be a Patron Pthumerian of honesty - though one could argue honesty out of fear isn't exactly the same thing as sincere honesty. Regardless, the Doorway does seem to encourage open communication between relationships.

The Doorway believes firmly that all relationships are crucial: familial, platonic, romantic, and even enemies. The Doorway believes there is value to be had in any relationship and that the connection people have with one another is the most important thing they will ever know. This passion towards connections has literally been translated through actual doorways, passageways, and the like, as they are representative of people wanting to move from one place to another.

They say if you hang flowers over your doorway, Doorway will guard it during moments of madness and keep your home and family safe.

MOSS KING
MONTH: March
MOON: Wild Moon
PRONOUNS: He/Him - They/Them
ASSOCIATED BLOOD TYPES: Paleblood, Darkblood
ASSOCIATED JOBS: Disciples
ASSOCIATED ATTRIBUTES: Gambling, risks, chances, possibility, prophecies, future visions, untamed nature.

Also known as the Patron Pthumerian of Gambling, the Moss King is the true wild card of Pthumerians. While many Pthumerians have humanistic traits, the Moss King seems to glorify typical human vices. He's fascinated with addiction and superstition and people's obsession with the outcome of their own lives. The Moss King is capable of seeing all realities at once and therefore literally cannot comprehend why anyone gets so hung up about their own futures. The worry amuses the Moss King and at the same time, he tries to alleviate it by giving some people the gift of prophecy...But of course, isn't that just a gamble too? Some people can handle seeing the future whereas others completely break down over it.

But that's what the Moss King bets on. He bets on everything. He likes probability and chance because it's the only thing that can surprise him in his own life. Ironically, there's a unique brand of ignorance in knowing everything and that's in not actually knowing which route people will go with. The Moss King has a collected, smug personality and will entertain absolutely anyone with a game if they ask for it. The Moss King is a high roller gambler and if you play your cards right (literally) you could be granted with important secrets to your own life.

The Moss King has no real moral compass since he can see pros and cons to every single future. He believes there are no true "good" or "bad" endings to any story. He does not see death as final. He's bad at empathizing with people and is said to be relatively cold because of it. Wherever the Moss King walks, vibrant plant life follows in his wake, but the plant life is quick to die too. He has used plants in bets before, teasing ripe fruit with starving people just to get in a quick game.

The Moss King is not a protective Pthumerian at all. He sees no point in stopping the inevitable and will not save anyone...But he might be amused enough by you to cut a bad situation short if he thinks there might be a more entertaining option. People have had their lives saved by the Moss King simply by being clever enough with him. He cannot be summoned by any physical offerings, but they do say the more risks you take, the higher the chances are that the Moss King might appear and admire you enough to help you out. Maybe. On the flip side, if he feels poorly towards you, it's said that he'll curse you with terrible visions of your worst fates.

Guess that's just a bet you'll have to take.

ARGONAUT
MONTH: April
MOON: Wild Moon
PRONOUNS: He/Him
ASSOCIATED BLOOD TYPES: Warmblood, Darkblood
ASSOCIATED JOBS: Architects
ASSOCIATED ATTRIBUTES: Unwavering hope, resilience, naive wonder, trust, curiousity.

The Patron Pthumerian of Hope is the physically weakest of the Pthumerians yet the most resilient. He is the quickest to recover from injury or bad experiences and continually goes through a rebirth process of larvae, cocooning, and then leaving the cocoon. He never appears as any bigger or smaller than a housecat and is known to randomly fly all around Trench. He's the most commonly sighted Pthumerian and he's usually the first Pthumerian to explore new curiosities in the world...Which also means he dies a whole lot more than any other Pthumerian.

Argonaut is not much of a fighter. Sleepers and other Pthumerians are usually the ones fighting for his sake because like, how could you not? He's so cute! This is part of his own unique set of abilities though as Argonaut genuinely trusts everyone he interacts with. He truly is the embodiment of naive trust and faith, willing to believe someone that they aren't about to kill him even if they're aiming a loaded gun at his face. When people willingly kill Argonaut, it is said they will be haunted by guilt for weeks and lose an enormous amount of sleep. Many have been known to become fully corrupt and cave to beasthood just from killing Argonaut.

What Argonaut lacks in physical prowess, he makes up for in blessings. He might not be a fighter, but he has a fighter's spirit and he feels confident in his ability in finding other fighters - physical or emotional. He appears when fights are at their most hopeless when someone is at their worst mental breakdown, and he blesses people with renewed strength and willingness to survive. He will come down from the sky, lightly land on the suffering, and they will be physically and mentally rejuvenated. It is said that wars have been won because of Argonaut blessing soldiers on the battlefield after there has been a moment of hopelessness. As long as there's a reason to hope, Argonaut will appear and show you exactly what that reason is.

Do not give up. Never give up. You will live to see another day and when you do, Argonaut will be right by your side. He loves you.

BAUSPHOMETTE
MONTH: May
MOON: Flushed Moon
PRONOUNS: They/Them with indifference towards she/her or he/him.
ASSOCIATED BLOOD TYPES: Vileblood, Coldblood
ASSOCIATED JOBS: Blood Ministers
ASSOCIATED ATTRIBUTES: Identity, self-reflection, personal growth, transitions, internal and external changes to one's self, evolution.

Bausphomette, sometimes known simply as Baus, is the Patron Pthumerian of Transformation. Generally considered to be the most rational of the Pthumerians, Baus will rarely act before thinking. They are not one to make brash decisions but once they have decided, they commit fully and aggressively. Due to the intensity of their consideration, they are often the last Pthumerian to make a decision. They believe heavily in self-reflection and patience with one's self. They, more than any other Pthumerian, encourage Sleepers to be honest to the truest versions of themselves even if it doesn't make other people happy.

Baus has been a patron of self-care and prioritizing one's personal journey. They believe to achieve true happiness and the best quality of life, one must put themselves first and understand themselves first. If you cannot love yourself, Baus will love you while you learn. Baus considers people's personalities to ebb and flow like water, never thinking anyone must stay the exact same at all times. Baus themself is known for transforming continually from a lycanthropic creature to a full, giant wolf. They often shed their fur to regrow it in unique colors.

While it may take a while for Baus to make a decision if Baus decides they are protective over someone, there is very little that will stand in their way. They are not against violence and will tear through an army within seconds to protect someone they feel deserves it. Many children love Baus since Bause has been known to appear before abusive family members or cruel bullies and stop them immediately. Baus is inherently against cruelty towards others and will eat bigotry alive - literally. That's about the only time Baus doesn't take any time to make a decision. They know an ugly-souled bitch when they see one.

Baus is probably one of the most genuinely empathetic of Pthumerians. While most Pthumerians seem to struggle with the full spectrum of Sleeper emotions and experiences, Baus seems to be especially gifted at being able to wear someone else's shoes (figuratively speaking). There is no real way to summon Baus but most people who have met Baus realize that Baus will come when they are needed most.

REMINA
MONTH: June
MOON: Flushed Moon
PRONOUNS: She/Her - They/Them
ASSOCIATED BLOOD TYPES: Vileblood, Darkblood
ASSOCIATED JOBS: Arcane Scholars
ASSOCIATED ATTRIBUTES: Time, history, memories, the past, archives, literature, comprehension.

Known famously as the Patron Pthumerian of History, Remina is arguably one of the most valuable resources when it comes to understanding the Waking World or other worlds - including your own. She's sometimes referred to as the All Seeing Eye. She's the second most seen Pthumerian, but unlike Argonaut, she seems resistant to all damage. She can't be killed, crushed, or injured by anything whatsoever. Try as you might, she'll simply blink out of existence and appear somewhere else a few feet away. She usually appears as the size of a basketball, but sometimes has shrunk down to regular eye-ball size. Many believe that she once haunted Deerington once or twice as a giant pair of eyes...But who knows if that's true...

Remina has seen all of human history. While the Moss King can see all future, Remina can see all past. She has an archival memory of everything that has ever happened and likely knows your own backstory better than you do. She speaks with no words but instead illustrates this knowledge by overseeing the literature of Gaze and projecting images, sounds, and other sensory experiences onto others. She is known to attach herself to Sleepers and deposit memories into their heads of their own lives or others. Instead of telling you about a moment in time, she'd rather just show you what happened or let you smell the event or feel it in some way.

Remina is arguably one of the most voids of typical human emotions. She seems to have zero bias and won't usually kill. She will, however, defend knowledge with her life. She reacts violently towards censorship and if someone attempts to destroy books or other valuable information around her, she has been known to be inappropriately violent. Apparently, she has killed people for spilling coffee on a book before. Yeah, she's one of those.

Remina does not provide much by means of physical grants, but if she feels one has a deep respect and love for knowledge of any kind, she has been known to float by their minds and improve their memory. She has been known to help people recover lost memories, figure out strange puzzles, and other such intellectual roadblocks. She helps teach children how to read and write and seems to be able to work comprehensively with any learning disability.

THE RECKONING
MONTH: July
MOON: Beast Moon
PRONOUNS: She/Her prominently but occassionally self-refers with He/Him
ASSOCIATED BLOOD TYPES: Warmblood, Coldblood
ASSOCIATED JOBS: Hunters
ASSOCIATED ATTRIBUTES: Justice, revenge, violence, protection, rage, punishment, social regulation, law and ruling.

Unsurprisingly, this knight-looking, sword-wielding Pthumerian is known as the Patron Pthumerian of Justice and is considered to be one of the most ruthless and violent Pthumerians alive. The Reckoning has an innate sense of justice that leans towards protecting the innocent and weak and raging against sadists and cruelty. If an injustice has been known, they say the rage and hurt you feel is partially the Reckoning coming.

Once the Reckoning has decided someone deserves punishment, there is little you can do to avoid it. Typically, her idea of punishment is to execute people, but for lesser crimes, she has also been known to torture and imprison. She believes that society can only function if everyone has basic respect towards one another and values the quality of life across the board. She's an extremist and believes in taking matters into her own hands. While she can be deeply threatening and intimidating, you generally don't have to worry much about the Reckoning if you're a good person or, at the very least, have good intentions.

The Reckoning isn't a corrupt Pthumerian. She doesn't have illogical bloodlust. She's the one who believes a serial killer should be locked up or put down. She's the one who thinks that abusing a child should be punishable by life. If you're beating a dog, she's the one who will show up to break your arms. In many ways, it's hard to not cheer for the Reckoning because she naturally represents a sense of Justice and many usually are glad to see her arrival on the scene because they know the Right Thing is about to happen...

Usually, anyway, unless you're really against violent punishment in which case the Reckoning might seem like a threat to your sense of justice. Not everyone believes in violent retribution, after all, and this seems to be a cold division between the Reckoning and usual Sleeper nuance. The Reckoning has a very black-or-white sense of justice based on a horizontal principle of "Did you hurt someone intentionally? Pay for it." She has been known to bless those seeking revenge with high adrenaline and greater strength than usual, and in those blessings, people who spill blood for their revenge will not suffer the consequences of blood pollution or corruption.

Many believe that the Reckoning is the alleged lover of the Doorway since they have many similarities and seem to never be able to exist in the same space at the same time. Perhaps star-crossed lovers...?

Mariana
MONTH: August
MOON: Beast Moon
PRONOUNS: She/Her
ASSOCIATED BLOOD TYPES: Paleblood, Vileblood
ASSOCIATED JOBS: Blood Ministers
ASSOCIATED ATTRIBUTES: The unknown, unpredictability, ambiguity, fate, lack of control/chaos, emotional turmoil, caution.

The Patron Pthumerian of the Unknown. Mariana is named after the Mariana Trench and rightfully so. She is, as legend goes, the entire ocean. She is chaos. She is the unknown. She has the most fluctuating shape of all the Pthumerians and has been known to manifest in thousands of forms ranging from sea creatures to mermaid like beings to humanoid women in flowing gowns. The most distinguished thing about her is the salty-citrus odor that always travels with her and her unique, rasping voice. Even if you've never met Mariana before, you know her when she's around. That's also because she might be the strongest Pthumerian alive and is a literal force of nature.

Many believe she is the sole reason Pthumerians were even capable of traveling across their ocean and showing up in a different dimension. Many believe she's the reason Sleepers are taking that same journey to the Waking World through the ocean. They believe she's the reason Sleepers come into this world as squids, they believe that the ocean is her magic playground. Mariana seems indifferent to these rumors one way or another, but a hurricane would probably be indifferent to rumors too, so does that even mean anything?

She has a volatile personality and is the most unpredictable of the Patron Pthumerians. She is much like the ocean itself: always changing, never content. One moment she can be nurturing and gentle, loving you tenderly, like warm ocean water running over your legs at the beach on the first day of summer vacation. And the next moment, she's shattering your ribs against a rock in a furious tidal wave. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to her tempers but many believe there is also no moral connection either. She doesn't seem to resent anyone uniquely or love anyone uniquely. She seems to have the most honest perspective of Sleepers as she seems to be aware everyone is both flawed and gifted at the same time.

She respects unpredictable nature and cannot seem to help her own and doesn't seem interested in learning how to control her emotions either. She doesn't feel ashamed for her emotions and doesn't believe anyone else should either. She has no real concept of consequences for your actions and mostly seems confused if anyone resents her for hurting them in the past. Yeah, she's not a good "person" by a long shot, but she's also not a person and is the Pthumerian who makes that the most obvious. She isn't trying to be a person. She doesn't want to be a person. She doesn't want to be treated like a person. She is a natural disaster. She is the agent of destruction and creation and probably the closest thing to a traditional "god" Sleepers and Deerians have in this place.

Never Mind
MONTH: September
MOON: Blood Moon
PRONOUNS: He/Him
ASSOCIATED BLOOD TYPES: Paleblood, Darkblood
ASSOCIATED JOBS: Arcane Scholars
ASSOCIATED ATTRIBUTES: Knowledge, intelligence, craftsmanship, education, written and spoken languages, desire to understand.

The Patron Pthumerian of Knowledge is arguably the most reliable of the Pthumerians. He can be consistently found at the School of Mutter and is continually willing to educate anyone who desires an education. There is nothing he values more than broadening horizons and nourishing the mind. There is no student he won't take on and he has infinite patience with anyone willing to learn.

Many believe Never Mind knows every fact you can know in the universe, but many believe that it is little more than a parlor trick and that Never Mind has existed so long and naturally repeats everything that is said to him. This has brought into question how knowledge actually works - what makes someone smart? The ability to remember things or the ability to apply it to real life? Never Mind doesn't seem to have an opinion either way and doesn't seem entirely emotional about the subject either. But it does seem like he has a correct answer for every question you ask, but there is a legend that this is simply his ability: to know what is asked when it is asked.

Has he ever been stumped? Historically, no. Most people just don't know the right question to ask for Never Mind is known for giving blunt, unhelpful answers. He might love teaching but he's not always the best teacher. Sometimes, you're just too smart for your own good.

Never Mind knows every language to have ever existed and can speak it perfectly. He enjoys written and oral communication and studies both extensively. He also enjoys creating things as much as his known lover, the Tower, and they are generally considered why Arcane Scholars and Architects have so many overlapping qualities and are regarded as some of the most interchangeable jobs Sleepers can have. It is a genuine union of intelligence and the desire to apply that intelligence and experience to real life. A marriage of the minds, so to speak.

Never Mind rules over ravens in the Waking World as such has blessed all ravens with heightened intelligence. Ravens can be incredibly useful companions and can learn basic language. Most of them don't have prominent personalities but are a popular "pet" in Trench for their usefulness in alerting people of beasts and corruption. It is well known that if you see a conspiracy of ravens flocking, you should probably follow them. They will gather in large groups and lead the way to safe places if terror is about to strike.

MOTHER MERCY
MONTH: October
MOON: Blood Moon
PRONOUNS: She/Her
ASSOCIATED BLOOD TYPES: Darkblood, Warmblood
ASSOCIATED JOBS: Disciples, Blood Ministers
ASSOCIATED ATTRIBUTES: Forgiveness, mistakes, regret, heartbreak, apologies, agony, grief.

FALSE PATRON.

Mother Mercy has a few names: the Crying Woman, the Sobbing, and most importantly, The Patron Pthumerian of Forgiveness. Mother Mercy is the most traditionally humanoid looking of the Pthumerians and typically maintains the appearance of a woman in a grieving gown and veil. While you can see a somewhat human-looking face beneath the veil, enough of it distorts her image that you can never quite clearly see the actual definitions of her expressions. She can most commonly be found lurking by places where people or animals have died, on her knees, crying, and making praying gestures. When she is discovered crying, she quickly vanishes in a cloud of black smoke, her sobs echoing behind her.

She is one of the most difficult Pthumerians to actually come across and for good reason: she was once known as Mother Superior and famous for cruelty and violent intentions towards Sleepers. Many have a good reason to distrust Mother Mercy, but whatever foul intentions Mother Superior had seem to have vanished when she was reborn...Or well, that's the assumption anyway. Mother Mercy is known for her forgiving nature and is seen by many as the Mother of Death for she allegedly appears to those who are physically suffering enormously and showing them "mercy" by ending their lives swiftly and painlessly.

Mother Mercy understands grief and regrets better than most. Mother Mercy will admit that she feels eternal guilt for the crimes of her past and believes she will never truly be forgiven and she herself believes she shouldn't be forgiven. Despite her personal standards, she does believe in forgiving others, and when no one else is willing to forgive you, it will be Mother Mercy who appears at your side to show you some basic compassion. Then again, some people really don't deserve forgiveness and maybe it's questionable of Mother Mercy to be so willing to forgive just about anyone.

While she is the hardest Pthumerian to catch, they say if you provide some sort of confessional style admittance of wrong-doings, Mother Mercy will appear to forgive you of your sins. But they also say this experience may tempt you to confess wrong-doings to those you have hurt against your will. Maybe be careful trusting this one...Then again, maybe that's just part of her eternal punishment too. Who knows?

THE FALSE PATRON

Many refer to Mother Mercy as a Patron Pthumerian including Mother Mercy herself but this is in fact incorrect. Many other Patron Pthumerians will confirm as much and state that they believe Mother Mercy wishes to win humanity over with pity. Madam Generosity believes Mother Mercy truly is swallowed up by grief but she feels wary of her intention. But maybe they are wrong? Maybe Mother Mercy truly is suffering an eternal plea for forgiveness...Shall you give it to her?

Characters cannot have Mother Mercy as their actual Patron Pthumerians but you are welcome to have blessed October characters believe/be tricked into believing Mother Mercy is their Patron Pthumerian.

CLOVERFIELD
MONTH: October
MOON: Blood Moon
PRONOUNS: He/Him
ASSOCIATED BLOOD TYPES: Darkblood, Warmblood
ASSOCIATED JOBS: Disciples, Blood Ministers
ASSOCIATED ATTRIBUTES: Lonliness, homesickness, feeling lost, lost homes, lost worlds, lost memories, longing, isolation.

Cloverfield, more commonly known as the Patron Pthumerian of the Lost has been known to wander aimlessly around Deer Country. Cloverfield is occasionally known as "The Lost Pthumerian" as he sometimes forgets where he is and will gently ask Sleepers and other Pthumerians where his mothers are, where his home is, what does it look like? He can't remember anymore...Cloverfield often loses his way and will sit down and rust over until a Sleeper or other Pthumerian rouses him. This typically upsets him because to him, time is confusing, and he will cry about having felt like everyone left him behind, but being extremely grateful to whoever woke him up.

Despite his personal struggles with feeling lost, Cloverfield's powers ironically center around the innate ability to discover other lost people and things. If your friend is missing or you lost a cherished item, Cloverfield will absently lead you directly to them. They say the feeling of loss is enough to summon Cloverfield but who knows if that's just a rumor? If you react coldly to Cloverfield, he will unintentionally curse you with incidental isolation, making people avoid you for days to weeks on end and act like you don't exist. Thankfully Cloverfield becomes aware of these curses and is quick to lift them out of guilt. Of course, if you really are cruel to him, that curse might never leave...

Cloverfield isn't a physical fighter but he can cause absolute psychological devastation to enemies. He's one of the few Pthumerians that has intentionally caused corruption and beasthood. Although he's generally gentle in nature, when he's hurt, he can lash out in uniquely cruel ways. Cloverfield seems to be a mentally younger Pthumerian than the others and doesn't seem to fully understand how to work around his emotions. And in his defense, he doesn't seem to really have the full mental capacity as most to even remember events properly enough to know how to deal with them. Those who maintain a regular relationship with Cloverfield will discover that consistency is key and he will be glad to help and remain friendly with anyone who remains friendly and loyal to him. He seems to especially reward anyone who reminds him of his own life or places he has been.

Most of the time, Cloverfield appears as an android-stylized creature with some organic parts. He does change this shape from time to time, but usually maintains some robotic attributes. He seems to greatly admire Architects despite his main connection being to Disciples and Blood Ministers. He believes in Disciples' faith and Blood Minister's work, but he loves Architects for what they create. He considers the Tower to be something of a big brother even though they aren't technically related. He grows attachments to Sleepers easily and grows strong familial connections swiftly.

THE TOWER
MONTH: November
MOON: Bone Moon
PRONOUNS: He/Him
ASSOCIATED BLOOD TYPES: Vileblood, Coldblood
ASSOCIATED JOBS: Architect
ASSOCIATED ATTRIBUTES: Innovation, community, communication, technology, creation, design, art, creativity.

Popularly known as the Patron Pthumerian of Innovation, the Tower can be tricky to identify in the city. The Tower has been known to change his shape to look like various statues and pieces of art, holding his position for hours to weeks to years if he's inspired enough. His most common appearance is that of an extremely tall individual made out of stone with glimmers of gold. He represents the perfect unity of practicality and pleasure and believes society cannot exist on one or the other alone.

The Tower is largely credited with the reason society was able to rebuild after so many centuries spent being torn apart by the Nightmare. After all, it's hard to imagine humanity picking itself back up from near-extinction and constant violence to bring itself back up to an advanced society in such a short span of time, right? People believe that the Tower was one of the first Pthumerians to truly reach out to humanity, inspired by their willingness to not only survive but excel and enjoy surviving. He greatly admires people's creativity and has used it to embellish his own existence.

The other Pthumerians seem to have a long-standing respect for the Tower and call him "the Original Architect." Ask around and you'll discover that it's a fairly self-explanatory title. The Tower had built the original Pthumeria and is the leading reason Pthumerians have the unique aesthetic and fashion that they maintain while in humanoid forms. Some believe that the Tower even inspired the humanoid forms themselves.

The Tower has incredible reality-warping abilities and can seem to invent anything out of thin air if the inspiration strikes him. He has warped buildings and clothing to better suit his own tastes. Those who are blessed by the Tower often wind up with some of the most interesting and useful items one can own in Trench. In many ways, he's the most beneficial of the Patron Pthumerians and on par with Madam Generosity in terms of how giving he can be towards Sleepers.

It is said that he takes the shape of a towering figure most often due to an immortalized love for Never Mind. The story goes that Never Mind once was an easily frightened Pthumerian and the Tower wished to stay still long enough to draw his attention and gain his trust. It is unknown how long the two have been together, but they often reference one another fondly and can be seen together. The Tower is typically covered in ravens and takes care of them if he ever finds them. He has a natural fondness towards creators and artists so don't be surprised if you ever randomly find your art supplies restocked or that bolt you needed. The Tower likes to see people creating and hardly thinks a lack of supplies should stop anyone.

DOROTHEA
MONTH: December
MOON: Bone Moon
PRONOUNS: She/Her
ASSOCIATED BLOOD TYPES: Vileblood, Warmblood
ASSOCIATED JOBS: Hunters
ASSOCIATED ATTRIBUTES: Mischief, adaptability, manipulation, survival, cleverness, resourcefulness, instincts.

Dorothea is the Pthumerian with the most folklore surrounding her. For centuries, many believed she was an unusual cryptid created by the Nightmare. Others believed she was just a rumor invented by humans - the mysterious jackalope. Even now there is enormous debate as to whether she's actually a Pthumerian or just passing through parading as one. Regardless of the truth, Dorothea has become known as the Patron Pthumerian of Manipulation. She's the agent of mischief and, ironically, despite other Pthumerians being known for Pthumerians of intellect, she is considered the most clever of all Pthumerians. The difference between Dorothea and Pthumerians like Never Mind or Remina is that she uses intelligence to survive. It isn't a luxury or hobby for her.

She appears exclusively as a dog-sized rabbit with a pair of antlers and glowing white eyes. At times she's been seen with wings and other times without. It is said she's extremely fond of outcasts and goes out of her way to appear to loners. She shows affection by extensive pranking and will highly respect anyone who can prank her in return. She rarely speaks and prefers body language, but she occasionally enjoys a good joke or riddle to those she wants to spend time with.

It seems like Dorothea's main goal in life is just to survive it. She adapts to any situation around her and represents being resourceful in a tight situation. To those she wishes to bless, Dorothea has been know to drop in with obscure, weirdly useful items in a pinch. She'll appear in burning houses and show you the way out that was there all along. She can be impatient and is willing to abandon people she has a good relationship with if it means saving her own skin...Sometimes.

Dorothea does not want to be known by anyone. Not Sleepers, not Pthumerians. She's protective of her own origins and history and refuses to confirm or deny any specific rumors about herself as she believes it will serve as a disadvantage people might use against her. She prefers the company of other animals and has been known to take care of strays. Don't be surprised if she shows up on your doorstep with an abandoned kitten for you to adopt. Dorothea has a soft spot for other animals and generally seems to feel they are the most wronged in life. Dorothea doesn't really kill anyone ever, but sometimes her tricks and clever antics have led to coincidental deaths. Sometimes a distracting explosion can go wrong, okay?

If someone wanted to pray/sacrifice/invoke or gain favor to say The Reckoning, how might one go about doing as much, especially outside of their month and Blessed Days? Also, what might those consequences look like?

This might be a silly question, but where do we interact with Pthumerians? Do we have an NPC page for them or is it handwaved?
