Shen Yuan found out about how Duty's connection to John Gaius, aka the guy whose ill-advised Mariana-punching attempt made Shen Yuan have a qi deviation and kill his housemate. Hurt feelings were had, but they managed to talk it out like adults (gasp!) and their friendship is doing better than ever. Shen Yuan also promised to stay on Duty's construction crew; in October and the coming months, residents of Trench might notice that structures worked on by the crew stand up to the elements better and offer those living within a greater sense of security than their neighbors.
